ABOUT
This two-part painting was created as a deeply personal tribute for my friend and gender-violence-awareness partner, Rachel Ebeling, commissioned by her husband for her 50th birthday. Begun as a live performance during her celebration—painted in the moment, surrounded by the energy of friends and the shared history we carry—the diptych evolved into a finished work that reflects Rachel’s strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment to survivors. Completed afterward in my studio and presented to her as a formal gift, the piece holds both the immediacy of that night and the quiet intention woven into its final layers.
