Untamed
This series is a response to the cultural and moral divides shaping American life right now. It’s both personal reflection and public protest.
What is better: uncomfortable truth or comfortable lies? Every truth is a kindness, even if it makes others uncomfortable. Every untruth is an unkindness, even if it makes others comfortable.
-Glennon Doyle
Made from found materials and cultural scraps, these collages address systemic racism, gender inequality, religious intolerance, mental health stigma, anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, economic injustice, the addiction epidemic, barriers to healthcare, and climate collapse. These aren’t abstract themes. They’re lived realities affecting real people and communities.
Collage is inherently political. It lets me take things apart and rebuild them, erase intentionally, and create new meaning through juxtaposition. Art becomes resistance: a way to hold complexity, challenge dominant narratives, and imagine something different.
A Creative Act of Rebellion doesn’t offer easy answers. It’s meant to spark dialogue, build empathy, and make space for discomfort. In a time of deep polarization, this work asks: What does it mean to respond with courage and creativity?
All proceeds from this series benefit Art for a Cause, supporting organizations and movements aligned with these themes. This project is part of a greater effort that believes art can illuminate, disrupt, and heal.u. And may it remind you that the act of creating—especially in the face of injustice—is itself a radical and necessary form of hope.
