Daily Meditation for June 3
I am still becoming, and that is something sacred.
REFLECTION
There is a temptation to believe that fulfillment exists somewhere in the future, waiting for us once we have healed enough, learned enough, accomplished enough, or finally become who we think we should be. Yet life is not a destination but an ongoing process of growth, discovery, and transformation. Today is an invitation to honor the unfinished nature of your journey and recognize that becoming is not evidence that you are incomplete, but evidence that you are alive.
WRITE
Reflect on the ways you have changed over the past year.
What have you learned, released, embraced, or begun to understand more deeply about yourself? Consider who you are becoming and how that person differs from the version of yourself who existed five or ten years ago.
CREATE
Create a visual representation of becoming.
Consider imagery such as an unfolding flower, a winding river, a spiral, a constellation forming in the night sky, a tree adding new rings, or a path disappearing beyond the horizon. How can your artwork express the beauty of growth that is still in progress?
LISTEN
Choose a song that reminds you that life is a journey rather than a destination.
As you listen, notice what emotions, memories, or reflections arise. How does the music help you appreciate where you are today while remaining open to who you are still becoming?
