Daily Meditation for May 31

I am worthy of tenderness, including my own.

REFLECTION

Many of us find it easier to extend compassion to others than to ourselves. We offer patience, understanding, and forgiveness to those we love while holding ourselves to harsher standards. Today is an invitation to remember that you are equally deserving of gentleness, and that self-compassion is not indulgence but an essential part of healing, growth, and emotional well-being.

WRITE

Reflect on the ways you care for the people you love.

How might you offer some of that same tenderness to yourself? Consider what self-compassion looks like in your daily life and where you may be longing for greater gentleness, patience, or understanding.

CREATE

Create a visual representation of tenderness.

Consider imagery such as open hands, blankets, nests, candlelight, flowers, warm colors, soft textures, or anything that evokes comfort, care, and nurturing. How can your artwork express the experience of being held with kindness, both by others and by yourself?

LISTEN

Choose a song that feels comforting, soothing, or emotionally restorative.

As you listen, notice what emotions, memories, or sensations arise. How does the music encourage you to approach yourself with greater compassion and care?
