Daily Meditation

July 30

I am grateful for all the love and support in my life.

I am grateful for all things in my life. But more than that, I’m grateful for the reminder to pause and remember to be grateful. Without that pause, I get swept up in the chaos that surrounds me. I can always feel the restless, agitated energy bubble up under my skin when I forget. My overthinking takes over, and I lose touch with the grounding power of being.

But when I slow down, the world softens. I hear the rustle of leaves outside and birds calling out to one another in the trees. I notice the low hum of the air conditioner and the cool press of metal against my lip as I take a sip from my cup. In these ordinary moments, I am reminded that gratitude is not about what’s missing. It’s about recognizing what’s already here.

But when I lean into what I have, my heart expands. I feel more present. More open. More alive. Gratitude grounds me, every time.
