About This Artwork
I created Bare Boned and Crazy in 2021 as part of my Lotus Project. I began without a fixed outcome, following the marks as they emerged and letting attention, rhythm, and instinct guide the work.
Intricate lines and layered textures move across the paper. Some passages grow dense; others open into quieter space. The composition holds both complexity and clarity, much like the thoughts and feelings that surface when the mind is allowed to move without being forced toward an answer.
For me, this work carries the vulnerability of making without knowing exactly where I will arrive. It is a record of presence: a moment of attention given form through line, gesture, pastel, and acrylic.
