ABOUT
Facade (2018) is an original pastel on archival paper that I created to explore the abstract suggestion of a woman through soft, delicate strokes. At first glance, she may appear beautiful, even whole. But the title, Facade, reflects a deeper truth—a quiet unraveling of surface-level assumptions, revealing the tension between what is shown and what is suppressed. With this work, I challenge myself and the viewer to question the illusion of beauty and the emotional structures women are often expected to construct simply to survive.
