About This Artwork
I created Inside My Soul in 2010 as a way to explore the quieter terrain of the inner world, where memory, emotion, and reflection meet.
Soft layers of blue, gray, and creamy white move across the canvas in an atmospheric haze. The forms suggest a distant landscape: some viewers may see a path through trees, while others may find a shifting horizon or a place within themselves. I wanted the image to remain open, with room for each person’s memories and associations.
As I painted, I thought about the inner places we return to when the outside world grows quiet. The brushwork moves slowly through the composition, building depth and movement like fog passing through a remembered landscape.
For me, Inside My Soul became a meditation on vulnerability and stillness. It holds the feeling of walking through the shaded corridors of one’s inner life, where reflection can reveal what is hard to hear amid the noise of the day.
