About This Artwork
I created Just Another Honduras Dive in 2014 as a tribute to my brother Ryan and his adventurous spirit. His love of travel, the ocean, and the thrill of discovery became the starting point for a painting about curiosity and the willingness to move toward the unknown.
I built the surface with layers of acrylic, oil, and pastel. Bold gestures and shifting textures suggest the movement of water and the disorientation of entering a new depth. Some marks feel spontaneous; others reveal a structure beneath them. Together they hold both the freedom of adventure and the awareness that comes with taking a risk.
