I created Reach in 2022 as part of my Untamed series, a body of work exploring intuition, transformation, and the balance between intention and spontaneity.
Built through layers of paper, texture, and color, this collage developed through discovery rather than a fixed plan. I responded to each layer as it emerged, allowing the materials to guide the next decision. The finished composition holds a sense of movement and energy alongside quieter areas that invite close attention.
For me, Reach is about moving beyond what feels familiar and toward something not yet known. Its overlapping elements carry both deliberate choices and unexpected shifts, reflecting the uncertainty and possibility within the creative process.
Though modest in scale, the work has a distinct presence. Its layered surface rewards a closer look, while the open-ended composition leaves space for viewers to find their own associations and meaning.
