A partially formed figure emerges. What seems damaged reveals a quieter truth: within collapse, something human remains worthy of care.
The title highlights a central contradiction—ruin is often seen as devastation, but there is tenderness in survival. Cracks reveal what was hidden. Where we come apart may be where compassion is most needed.
The painting doesn’t romanticize suffering. It considers what’s possible when pain is met without judgment, honoring the wounded self as still living and deserving of care.
