Daily Meditation for June 6

My past maty inform me, but it does not have the authority to define my future.

REFLECTION

Our past experiences shape us, offering lessons, memories, wounds, and wisdom that become part of our story. Yet growth requires recognizing that our history is not our destiny. Today is an invitation to honor what has brought you here while remembering that you retain the power to make new choices, embrace new possibilities, and write new chapters.

WRITE

Reflect on a belief about yourself that was shaped by a past experience.

How has that belief influenced your decisions, relationships, or sense of identity? Consider whether it still serves you today, and explore what might become possible if you allowed yourself to imagine a future that is not limited by old narratives.

CREATE

Create a visual representation of moving beyond the past.

Consider imagery such as an open door, a bridge, a path leading toward a new horizon, a bird taking flight, a page being turned, or a sunrise breaking through darkness. How can your artwork express the relationship between honoring where you have been and embracing where you are going?

LISTEN

Choose a song that speaks to growth, transformation, or new beginnings.

As you listen, notice what emotions, memories, or insights arise. How does the music encourage you to see yourself as someone who is still evolving rather than someone permanently defined by what came before?

What part of your future feels possible when you stop allowing your past to have the final word?
