Daily Meditation for May 16

I am still growing toward the light, no matter how long the winter lasted.

REFLECTION

Every life contains seasons of hardship, uncertainty, grief, or waiting. During those times, it can be difficult to recognize that growth is still taking place beneath the surface, much like roots strengthening beneath frozen ground. Today is an invitation to trust that your capacity for healing, hope, and renewal remains present, even after the longest winters of your life.

WRITE

Reflect on a season in your life that felt like winter.

What challenges, losses, or struggles did you experience during that time? Looking back, what strengths, insights, or forms of growth emerged that you may not have recognized while you were living through it?

CREATE

Create a visual representation of growth returning after a long winter.

Consider imagery such as emerging shoots, thawing landscapes, sunlight breaking through clouds, migrating birds, budding branches, or seeds pushing through the soil. How can your artwork express resilience, renewal, and the quiet persistence of life?

LISTEN

Choose a song that reminds you of hope, healing, or new beginnings.

As you listen, notice what emotions, memories, or possibilities arise. How does the music reflect your own experience of continuing to move toward the light, even after difficult seasons?
