Daily Meditation for May 17

I am allowed to outgrow old versions of myself without apologizing for who I am becoming

REFLECTION

Growth often requires us to release identities, habits, beliefs, and roles that once served a purpose but no longer reflect who we are. While change can be uncomfortable, especially when others expect us to remain the same, it is a natural part of becoming. Today is an invitation to honor your evolution and trust that you do not need to apologize for growing beyond what no longer fits.

WRITE

Reflect on a version of yourself that you have outgrown.

What did that chapter of your life teach you? What qualities, values, or priorities are emerging as you continue to grow, and how are they shaping the person you are becoming?

CREATE

Create a visual representation of transformation.

Consider imagery such as a snake shedding its skin, a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis, changing seasons, an open doorway, or a path leading toward a new horizon. How can your artwork capture the beauty and courage involved in letting go of what was in order to embrace what is next?

LISTEN

Choose a song that reflects growth, change, or personal transformation.

As you listen, notice what emotions, memories, or insights arise. How does the music connect to your experience of becoming someone new while honoring where you have been?
