I created Absolut Bull in 2020 as part of The Lotus Project. The words “ABSOLUT BULL” sit above a large, watchful eye. Orange and yellow radiate around it, while violet and dark pastel marks give the image a restless edge.
The title brings a sharp note of humor to an image that feels far less settled. The eye looks outward, but it also seems caught in the turbulence around it. I like the tension between the bluntness of the words and the uncertainty in the drawing.
