Untamed

This series was born from a deep internal reckoning and a desire to respond—visually, honestly, and urgently—to the growing cultural and moral divides shaping contemporary American life. This body of work stands as both a personal reflection and public protest.

Constructed from found cultural ephemera—these pieces serve as layered commentaries on some of the most pressing issues of our time: systemic racism, gender inequality, religious intolerance, mental health stigma, anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, economic injustice, the opioid epidemic, barriers to healthcare, climate collapse, and the erosion of human dignity. These are not abstract themes; they are lived realities, affecting not only individuals, but the very structures that hold our communities together.

The act of collage, for me, is inherently political. It is a medium that allows for disassembly and reconstruction—where erasure becomes intentional and new meaning is made through juxtaposition. In this process, art becomes a site of resistance: a way to hold complexity, challenge dominant narratives, and imagine alternative futures.

A Creative Act of Rebellion does not aim to offer easy answers. Rather, it seeks to foster dialogue, awaken empathy, and make space for discomfort and transformation. In a time when polarization threatens both public discourse and private relationships, this work asks: What does it mean to respond with courage, creativity, and conscience?

All proceeds from this series benefit Art for a Cause, an initiative committed to supporting organizations and movements aligned with the themes explored in the work. This project is a small contribution toward a larger collective effort—one that believes in the power of art to illuminate, disrupt, and ultimately, heal.

Thank you for engaging with this work. May it challenge you. May it move you. And may it remind you that the act of creating—especially in the face of injustice—is itself a radical and necessary form of hope.
