About This Artwork
I created Show Me the Way to Forever in 2018 as part of my Still I Rise series. Working on a 48 × 48-inch canvas, I allowed fluid acrylic paint to travel, meet, and change direction across the surface. The movement of the paint became part of the composition.
I was thinking about connection and the histories people carry into their relationships. Color moves in layers, with one passage meeting another before continuing in a different direction. Nothing in the painting stands entirely apart. The work developed through those encounters between intention and chance.
The title reaches toward something lasting, though the painting remains in motion. For me, Show Me the Way to Forever holds the desire to remain connected through change, and the knowledge that continuity is something we make together over time.

Standard delivery within the contiguous United States is included in the collector price. Expedited transportation, framing, or unusual delivery requirements may require an additional charge agreed upon before shipment.
